OT was started in May 2020 as the product of our passion for IT and a bit of boredom due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Especially the lockdown showed to all of us just how important a digital presence is for companies and businesses. We are a young and dynamic company trying to enable digitalization.Our mission is to be the digital catalyst for small and medium sized enterprises by providing high quality IT-Services to them. While we try to provide a convergent service our core strength lies in the design and development for web and mobile. Our team consists of the two sailors Arun and Kariko. Both of them have been around the IT world for quite some time now and acquired first class experience and knowledge by studying relevant subjects in human computer interaction and information systems as well as working for industry leaders in Germany.
Kariko holds a bachelor's degree in information systems and is currently enrolled in the master of business information technology with a specialization in data science and business. In the past, he worked for a leading telecommunication company and acquired knowledge on the topics of project management, telecommunication systems, and procurement. In his role as CEO of Oberkassel Tech, he handles project management as well as administrative and strategic tasks.
Kiano is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in applied math and computer science. Besides that, he is working for a leading online pharmacy as a software engineer. In this position, he has acquired extensive skills in software development in large enterprises. Within OT he holds the role of the CTO and oversees the development and technological interests of the company and its customers.
Arun holds a Bachelor's in Computer Application and a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction. His specialization in Collaborative Working and Design Psychology is effective in setting up the design culture of OT. He has experience in solving data-rich issues for the biggest supply chain companies and hence, achieving higher efficiency for them. He oversees the design work that OT has to deal with and advocates to design products and applications from the end user's point of view.
It all started in 2019, when Kariko and Arun were living together during their time as students in Bonn-Oberkassel, Germany. They both were living in the same house as part of their shared housing, continuing with their daily student life.
Life took a turn when the pandemic hit in early 2020, and with the new found free time and the passion for the tech industry, they decided to offer design and development services to the public. The combination of the duo kicked off with projects coming in from various contacts in their close circle.
Oberkassel meaning upper castle in literal translation from German, is what Oberkassel Tech aims to provide, quality service with the highest impact. The area of Bonn-Oberkassel (in the shape of b) represents the place where it all started.
